Faculty of Foreign Languages

On 22nd December 2005, Faculty of Foreign Languages was founded under the Decision issued by Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). The foundation was based on the merging of Foreign Language Department and Division of International Cooperation Training.

The Faculty is proud of well designed, advanced training programs which focus on linguistic knowledge, the four skills of language usage and job-orientation especially.

The Faculty consists divisions, including: Division of English Language Skills, Division of English Linguistics, Division of Non-English major 1, Division of Non-English major 2, Division of Non-English major 3, Division of Chinese Language and Culture, Division of Korean Language and Culture, Division of Japanese Language and Culture, Division of Vietnamese Language and Culture, Division of English for College Student, Administrative Office and The Language Training and Testing Center.

Training programs:

- 01 Master Program (2 years): English Linguistics.

- 05 Bachelor Programs (4 years): English Linguistics, Chinese Linguistics, Korean Linguistics, Japanese Linguistics, Vietnamese Language and Culture.

Facilities:

The Faculty of Foreign Languages has 15 working rooms, recording studio, conference rooms, 50 foreign language classrooms, 03 practice rooms with modern equipment.

Oriented development:

- To develop the contingent of lecturer and staff with high professional qualifications and good skills;

- To promote joint training and scientific research with domestic and international organizations;

- To provide best quality services on education, training, scientific research, consulting, application and technology transfer to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country and international integration in the 4.0 period;

- To build the Faculty into a key unit of language training for students who do not specialize in languages and career orientation;

- To set up an international testing center at Hanoi University of Industry.
