Bun Pi May (Laos) traditional Tet

On April, 7th, 2016, Laotian students studying in Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) joyfully welcomed their traditional Bun Pi May Tet.

This event received the attendance of Mrs. Thongmy DUANSAKDA - Deputy Counsellor of Culture - Education, Embassy of Laos in Vietnam, Lao students’ parents, Chinese students and Laotian representatives at 13 Universities in Hanoi. Besides, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan - Vice Rector, representing HaUI Managing Board and Secretary of the Youth League, Head of International Cooperation, Students Affairs, Faculty of Business Management, Centre for Postgraduate Training happily participated in this event.

On behalf of the Embassy of Laos, Mrs. Thongmy Duansakda expressed her deepest gratitude to the administrators and teachers for helping and creating the best learning conditions for Laotian students. She also introduced the Vietnamese teachers and students to the meaning of Water Festival and string-tying around wrist custom.

The Tet holiday program brought cheerful Laos ceremonies, ethnic dances, and a lucky water splash to teachers and students with a New Year wish for good health and excellent study result.
