DT4 team - Hanoi University of Industry wins the “Best Design Award” of Robocon Vietnam 2017

From 09th to 14th of May 2017, at Ninh Binh gymnasium, the final round of Robocon Vietnam 2017 took place with the theme “The landing disc”. NN01 team and DT4 team represented Hanoi University of Industry for this round of the contest.

With the theme “The landing disc”, the teams have to design robots with the ability to precisely throw discs on 7 columns placed in various positions on the field. The team can be declared winner in two ways. The first one is to achieve absolute victory APPARE by placing the discs on all 7 columns. The second way is to place the discs on a number of columns and get a higher score than the opposing team within 3 minutes. During the match, the teams are allowed to control robots to counter the disc-throwing robots of the opponent.

During the final round of Robocon 2017, HaUI had two competing teams, namely NN01 from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and DT4 from Faculty of Electronic Engineering. Both teams performed exceptionally during the qualification round and successfully advanced to 1/8 round.

DT4 team designed robots with 3 disc-shooting guns operating independently with high precision which surprised opponents, creating many exciting matches for the spectators. With the unique design of their robot, DT4 received the “Best Robot Design Award”.

Robocon 2017 has again reaffirmed its position as a beneficial playground for students to apply their knowledge in practice and present their unique creations.
