HaUI Promotes Fire Safety Awareness for Staff, lecturers, and Students at the Ha Nam Campus

On December 28, 2024, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) conducted a training session on fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations for over 300 students, lecturers, and staff at its Ha Nam campus.

With a campus spanning nearly 50 hectares and serving as the primary training ground for first-year students, the Ha Nam facility is a key focus for equipping participants with essential knowledge and skills. The training aimed to enhance on-site firefighting capabilities and prepare attendees for effective rescue and response in emergency situations.

During the session, representatives from the Phủ Lý City Fire Prevention Police Department delivered fundamental knowledge, including common causes of fires and explosions, procedures for firefighting, rescuing individuals, evacuating safely, and safeguarding assets during fires. Participants were instructed on inspecting, maintaining, and using firefighting equipment, and engaged in practical drills deploying available firefighting resources, in collaboration with the local Fire Prevention Police Department.

The highlight of the program was the hands-on fire safety drill. Lecturers, staff, and students actively participated in using CO₂ and foam extinguishers and tackled simulated emergency scenarios under the guidance of professional firefighters.

Attendees expressed enthusiasm and satisfaction with the training program, acknowledging its vital role in raising awareness and equipping them with life-saving skills. The session emphasized personal safety while empowering participants to guide others in adopting basic fire safety and rescue practices.

On December 21, 2024, similar training sessions held at HaUI’s campus 1 and campus 2 had drawn significant participation from lecturers, staff, and students, reinforcing HaUI’s commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture.
