Meeting and Greeting at the beginning of Lunar New Year 2017 (Year of the Rooster)

On the morning of the 8th February, 2017, Hanoi University of Industry had a meeting with the professors, associate professors, doctors and management staff at the university on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. Mr. Cao Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Trinh Huy Thanh, Party Secretary of Hanoi’s industrial sector and other leaders representing Human Resources Development Bureau, Science and Technology Bureau (under Ministry of Industry and Trade) attended at the meeting.

On making the report to Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung and Mr. Trinh Huy Thanh Party Secretary of Hanoi’s industrial sector; Associate Professor - Doctor Tran Duc Quy - Party Secretary, Rector of HaUI focused on many achievements of the university on various fronts thanks to the leadership and support from Ministry of Industry and Trade as well as the efforts on the part of the university’s staff in 2015-2016 academic year. Most notably among those are high enrollment rate, good results in training, research, maintaining and developing a cooperative relationship with international institutes and enterprises to create academic and career opportunities for students.

In 2015-2016 academic year, the university successfully completed the enrollment goal despite various challenges in enrolling new students and maintained the education scale. The university also placed a greater emphasis on education at college level and political training for students, scientific research among young lecturers and students, incorporate research with practical applications, expanded multilateral and bilateral relationships with countries with developed education and maintained traditional relationships as well as effectively implemented international programs and projects, etc.

Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung

Praising the performance of university in the recent period, Deputy Minister Cao Quoc Hung commented that these are fundamental and comprehensive achievements and greatly contribute to the reputation of the number one education institution of Ministry of Industry and Trade. With many opportunities and advantages that the New Year 2017 has to offer, The Minister sent his best wishes to all the staff of the university and he hoped that the university would continue to maintain the excellent achievements, overcome the difficulties and accomplish all its missions in the coming period.

Representing the staff of HaUI, Accociate Professor-Doctor Tran Duc Quy offered his thanks for the support of the Ministry and other departments while vowing that the university would strive to complete all the goals set for 2016-2017 academic year and elevate the university to a new height of development.
