Opening ceremony of academic year 2015-2016 and Decision Announcement of establishing National Defense and Security Training Center

On October 10th 2015, in Campus C in Ha Nam, Hanoi University of Industry organized the opening ceremony of new school year 2015-2016 and announced Decision of establishing National Defense and Security Training Center.

Attending the ceremony were Vice-Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai, Vice-Minister of Education and Training Pham Manh Hung, and Major General Nguyen Duy Nguyen - Director of Department of Civil Defense - General Staff Department (Ministry of Defense) as well as the representatives of Ha Nam provincial leaders, agencies, enterprises, international organizations and thousands of HaUI staffs and students.

In his speech, Dr. Tran Duc Quy, the Secretary of University Communist Party cum Rector of HaUI, emphasized the innovation of the university in teaching national defense and security and its aim at building National Defense and Security Center for better professional training. This would enable the university to reach the objective of all-sided education. Integrating manual labor into national defense and security training has had a fair significance for HaUI students to adopt healthy lifestyle, foster team spirit and patriotism as well as develop responsibility for building and protecting the nation.

Speaking to HaUI teachers and students, Vice-Minister Do Thang Hai complimented HaUI’s outstanding achievements and asked the university to successfully undertake the activities of the center. Besides, he encouraged the university to continue its distinguished tradition and carry on supplying high-quality human resource for Industry sector and society.

Built in Ha Nam training base, National Defense and Security Center has a training scale of 30.000 students/ year. The center’s function is providing training courses on national defense and security under legal regulation.
