Short-term Courses on Basic Electric System Maintenance Organized

On 5-9 March and 19-23 March 2012, two short-term courses on basic electric system maintenances of conventional machines were organized.The course consisted of 7 modules:

(i) electrical safety

(ii) electrical measurement;

(iii) electrical instrument

(iv) electrical machines

(v) sensors

(vi) compressed air

(vii) maintenance and repair of electric system of conventional machine.

The course attracted 35 participants from 13 enterprises including Honda, Stanley, Brother, EDH, and Cosmos.Experienced HaUI lecturers, who were trained by JICA experts and enterprise experts, provided practical knowledge and skills in the above components.In particular, many participants reported that they acquired useful knowledge and skills through trouble-shooting practice by using 4 electric simulators for milling and grinding machines in the module 7.This training course was organized under Output 1 of Project “develop and implement courses and curriculum based on needs of enterprises”.Learning from the success of the course, HaUI should continue to develop the courses carefully analyzing industry’s needs in the future.
