As 2025 drew to a close, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a solemn ceremony to launch the HaUI Alumni Network. This strategic initiative serves as a bridge connecting the university’s rich 127-year heritage with its future aspirations, underscoring the enduring strength and unity of its academic community.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of HaUI and Chairman of the Alumni Network Executive Board, emphasized the university's steadfast dedication to developing high-quality human resources for the nation's industrial growth. He remarked that HaUI alumni, whether serving as managers, entrepreneurs, engineers, or scientists, all embody the deep knowledge, rigorous discipline, and industrial work ethic instilled by their alma mater.
Inspired by global models like Stanford and Oxford, the Alumni Network is envisioned as a foundational pillar of the university ecosystem, charged with five strategic missions:
1. Brand Ambassadorship: Elevating HaUI’s prestige globally.
2. Innovation Catalyst: Serving as an extended arm for entrepreneurship and R&D.
3. Lifelong Learning: Creating a continuous education ecosystem.
4. Quality Assurance: Providing critical feedback for academic improvement.
5. Philanthropy: Driving social welfare and development funds.

Elaborating on this vision, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector and Standing Vice Chairman of the Executive Board – presented the operational roadmap for the provisional period. The primary goal is to consolidate the organizational structure in preparation for the First Congress in November 2026. Key quantitative targets include connecting a database of at least 10,000 alumni and synchronizing official information channels across digital platforms.

Notably, HaUI is prioritizing international influence by planning to establish International Alumni Chapters in countries with a significant alumni presence. Dr. Tran Ngoc Khanh, Head of Student Affairs and Standing Member of the Executive Board announced the decision to establish the Network and the Provisional Executive Board comprising 26 dedicated members. The board committed to immediately implementing career counseling activities and awarding at least 20 scholarships funded by external resources.

Representing the alumni community, Mr. Nguyen Khac Quy, Chairman of Phuc Binh Technology JSC and an alumnus of the Faculty of Electronics, expressed emotion upon returning to his alma mater. He affirmed that the discipline and aspiration instilled by HaUI were his most valuable assets in building his career. Responding to these sentiments, Ms. Tran Thi Huong Giang, President of the HaUI Student Association, represented the younger generation in pledging to uphold the glorious traditions of their predecessors.

The ceremony witnessed the signing of strategic cooperation agreements between HaUI and alumni-led enterprises, including Phuc Binh Technology JSC, Binh Minh Machines and Equipment JSC, DuCa Science and Technology Enterprise, An Phu Viet Mold JSC, and Hangmin Damei Group (Vietnam Branch). Furthermore, demonstrating social responsibility and gratitude, alumni presented practical financial contributions to the Nguyen Thanh Binh Study Promotion Fund and supported the university's facility development.
