Hanoi University of Industry expands international training cooperation with Goertek Group
The international training cooperation program between Vietnamese universities and Goertek Group (China) has achieved remarkable progress in a short period of time. From an initial cohort of 23 pioneering students in 2025, the program has significantly expanded, with 90 engineering students currently undertaking their studies in China this year. Among them are 47 students from Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), 38 students from Thai Nguyen University of Technology, and 5 students from Electric Power University.

The delegation from Hanoi University of Industry and Vietnamese partner universities visited Goertek’s Training Center in China
Recently, a delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Le Cuong, Vice Rector of Electric Power University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Tuan, Vice Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Technology, conducted a working visit to Shandong Transport Vocational College and Goertek’s Training Center in China. The visit represented an important step forward in strengthening the strategic partnership between the three Vietnamese universities and leading Chinese educational and industrial partners, while reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing international cooperation in education, talent development, and industry-oriented training.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Van Dong highly appreciated the achievements made after more than a year of implementing the program. He emphasized that the strong commitment and long-term investment of all stakeholders in developing future generations of engineers would create a solid foundation for further expanding cooperation and strengthening the partnership in the years ahead.
The “3.5 + 0.5” cooperation model provides final-year students majoring in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, and information technology at participating Vietnamese universities with opportunities to experience an international learning environment and gain hands-on exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies at Goertek’s training center. The program extends beyond traditional academic training by strengthening the connection between university education and industry practice. Through the integration of academic learning and hands-on experience, it equips students with essential professional competencies, broadens their international perspectives, and enhances their preparedness for the evolving demands of the global workforce.
In addition, participants are equipped with relevant foreign language skills and practical experience gained in authentic industrial settings, creating a significant competitive advantage for their future careers. Notably, students participating in the program receive scholarships and travel support throughout their studies and are offered employment opportunities at Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. upon graduation, providing promising career prospects for young engineers in an increasingly interconnected world.
