HaUI students achieve outstanding results at the 36th National Mechanics Olympiad

Students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) achieved remarkable success at the 36th National Olympiad in Mechanics, earning 29 individual awards, including 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 14 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes, as well as a Second Prize in the Machine Theory team competition.

The National Olympiad in Mechanics is one of Vietnam’s most prestigious academic competitions for students in engineering and technology disciplines. Organized annually, the competition aims to promote academic excellence, encourage scientific research, and identify young talents in the field of mechanics. The 2026 competition was held simultaneously across the northern, central, and southern regions of the country, attracting 1,562 students from 49 universities and technical institutions.

The closing and award ceremony of the 36th National Olympiad in Mechanics took place on 7 June 2026 at the National University of Civil Engineering in Hanoi. Representing Hanoi University of Industry at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice President of HaUI, attended the ceremony and congratulated the students and lecturers on their achievements.

The outstanding performance of the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering reflects the dedication and perseverance of its students, together with the strong support and guidance provided by faculty members throughout the preparation process. At the 36th National Olympiad in Mechanics, HaUI students earned a total of 30 individual awards, comprising 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 14 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes. In addition, the team secured Second Prize in the Machine Theory Team Competition, further demonstrating the school's strength in both individual and team events.

Among the most notable achievements was the performance of Le Van Do, a student from Mechanical Engineering 2 - Cohort 17, who was awarded First Prize in Machine Theory. His success not only highlights his academic excellence and dedication but also reflects the quality of education and training provided by the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering.
