ADMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT For International Students to Full-Time Undergraduate Programs 2026

Hanoi University of Industry announces the admission of international students to its full-time undergraduate programs for 2026.

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) is a public university with a 128-year history of development and is widely recognized as a leading institution in Vietnam for training professionals in economics and technology. The university is accredited in accordance with national higher education standards, with five academic programs accredited by ABET (USA). More than 40% of HaUI’s academic staff hold doctoral degrees, including professors and associate professors. The modern campus spans nearly 50 hectares and is equipped with lecture halls, practice facilities, laboratories, dormitories, and comprehensive student service areas, supporting over 32,000 students across various levels of study.

To attract international students to its undergraduate programs and promote the internationalization of its academic offerings, HaUI is implementing the project “Attracting International Students for Study and Research at Hanoi University of Industry for the 2024–2026 period.”

In 2026, HaUI plans to admit 100 international students to its full-time undergraduate programs, with scholarships and financial support available for non-agreement international students.

1. Eligibility and Admission Methods

1.1 Eligibility:

International applicants who have graduated from high school or an upper secondary vocational school abroad, with qualifications equivalent to those in Vietnam, and who meet the language proficiency requirements in accordance with HaUI’s regulations are eligible to apply. Details are as follows:

- For undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese: Applicants have foreign language proficiency at Level 3 or higher in accordance with the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam or equivalent and have Vietnamese language proficiency at Level 4 or higher in accordance with the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework for Foreigners issued by Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

Applicants who do not meet the Vietnamese language requirement must enroll in a Vietnamese language preparatory course and take a Vietnamese language proficiency test. If they meet the required level, they will be admitted to the official program. If not, they must continue studying Vietnamese and retake the test until the requirement is met before entering the official program.

- For undergraduate programs taught in English: Applicants must have English language proficiency at Level 3 or higher in accordance with the 6-Level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam or equivalent. Applicants who are native English speakers or who have completed their high school education in English are exempt from this requirement.

1.2 Admission methods: Admission is based on academic performance at the high school level or its equivalent.

2. Duration and Location of Study

- Standard program duration: 4 years.

- Location of study (first year):

+ Campus 1: No. 298 Cau Dien Street, Tay Tuu Ward, Hanoi City

+ Campus 2: Tay Tuu Ward, Hanoi City

+ Campus 3: Phu Van Ward, Ninh Binh Province

- From the second year onward, students will continue their studies at Campus 1 or Campus 2.

4. Application Documents

Each applicant is required to submit one complete set of application documents in Vietnamese or English, duly notarized or certified by competent authorities, as listed below:

a) Application form for international students (prescribed form).

b) High school diploma or equivalent duly notarized or certified by competent authorities of the home country.

c) Academic transcripts for grades 10, 11 and 12 of high school level or equivalent, duly notarized or certified by competent authorities of the home country.

d) A copy of passport valid for at least one year from the application date.

e) A medical certificate issued by a competent medical institution, dated no more than 6 months prior to the application date, certifying that the applicant is fit for overseas study.

f) A valid certificate of no criminal record issued by a competent authority.

g) A 4 x 6 cm portrait photo taken no more than 6 months prior to the application date.

h) Proof of Vietnamese or English language proficiency (if applicable).

If the applicant’s original documents are not in Vietnamese or English, certified translations must be provided. Scanned PDF copies of the original documents should also be submitted for verification.

5. Timeline and Application Procedure

5.1 Application period: From May 15 to July 31, 2026

5.2 Application procedure, Result announcement and Enrollment:

- Applicants must submit a scanned PDF of one complete set of application documents to the email address: dea_tuyensinh@haui.edu.vn.
Email subject format: [Undergraduate Application 2026] Full Name – Nationality – Applied Major/ Program.

- After reviewing and evaluating applications, HaUI will notify successful applicants via email and assist with visa applications. Expected enrollment is before August 31, 2026.

- Upon enrollment, applicants must submit original documents (or certified copies) to the International Student Admissions Officer.

6. Degree

International students who successfully complete the full-time undergraduate program with a standard duration of four (04) years will be awarded a bachelor’s degree.

7. Scholarship Policy and Financial Support

7.1 International students of non-government agreements enrolling in full-time undergraduate programs are entitled to the following scholarships and financial support:

- 100% tuition fee waiver for the entire program (up to 4 years), excluding retaken or improvement courses.

- Free dormitory accommodation based on actual length of stay (up to 4 years), applicable to high-quality rooms accommodating 3–4 students per room (excluding electricity and water costs).

- Monthly living expenses (VND 2,000,000/month) for international students who achieve a “Good” conduct rating and a semester GPA of at least 2.5/4.0. The allowance is disbursed each semester upon meeting academic performance and conduct requirements.

7.2 International students in the Vietnamese preparatory program

Students are required to cover tuition fees and testing fees of the Vietnamese language preparatory program. After achieving Vietnamese proficiency at Level 4/6 in accordance with Vietnamese Language

Proficiency Framework for Foreigners and enrolling in the full-time undergraduate program, they will be eligible for the scholarship policy and financial support as specified in the Section 7.1.

7.3 Scholarship selection criteria:

Scholarships are awarded based on admission results, scholarship quotas, chosen major/program, nationality, language proficiency and converted high school grades or equivalent qualifications.
