Registration for the “Asian Hackathon for Green Future 2026”

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hereby announces the registration for participation in the “Asian Hackathon for Green Future 2026”, a competition focused on developing technological solutions for a sustainable future.

This announcement is made pursuant to Official Letter No. 075/2026/CV-QTT-QVTLX dated April 8, 2026, issued by the Foundation for Green Future under Vingroup, inviting participation in the competition. HaUI would like to inform all students and learners of the University about the registration details as follows:

1. Objectives and Themes

The competition aims to identify and develop technological solutions to address urgent environmental challenges, while fostering innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration among young people. The focus is on three key areas:

- Renewable energy and low-emission transportation;

- Urban air quality and climate resilience;

- Water resources and climate-adaptive agriculture.

2. Competition Timeline

- Preliminary Round (April 6 - May 17, 2026): Registration period

- Online Training Round (June 2 - June 22, 2026): 30 selected teams will participate in intensive training and mentoring sessions with multidisciplinary experts to enhance professional knowledge and stay updated on sustainability and technology trends

- On-site Hackathon & Final Round (July 2 - July 5, 2026):

+ 30 teams will join the on-site Hackathon at VinUniversity to develop and finalize their solutions (the organizers will cover all travel and accommodation expenses);

+ 09 best teams will be selected to compete in the final round.

3. Registration Details

- Eligibility: Students register online in teams of up to 4 members

- Submission Requirements: Project proposal and an introductory video

- Deadline: By May 17, 2026

- Registration Method: Teams register by scanning the QR code provided
