Enhancing internal inspection and audit to enhance University governance and educational quality

On March 29, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a training session on internal inspection and auditing, with the participation of 82 staff members from various units within the university.

Overview of the Internal Inspection and Auditing Training Session

In the opening speech, Dr. Kiều Xuân Thực, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, emphasized the critical importance of internal inspection and auditing within the university. He explained that internal audits help identify management deficiencies in a timely manner, allowing for corrective actions and improvements. Internal auditing is not only preventive but also a tool for enhancement, helping units and the university as a whole to increase operational efficiency. Additionally, internal audits serve as guidance and support for units in carrying out their tasks, helping university leadership understand the challenges faced by units and providing prompt solutions. This ensures that the entire system operates smoothly and more effectively. Dr. Kiều Xuân Thực further noted that as educational institutions push for decentralization and delegation, internal inspection and auditing play a pivotal role. This process is a crucial component of management that ensures accountability for the university's activities to society.

During the session, Mr. Vũ Văn Chiến and Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Khanh presented an overview of internal inspection and auditing within public institutions. They covered essential legal frameworks and procedures related to internal auditing, auditing techniques, and the ethical standards required in the profession. The training equipped HaUI staff with knowledge regarding their responsibilities, rights, and obligations in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and legal compliance in the internal auditing processes at the university.
