HaUI strengthens digital transformation: Achievements in 2025 and roadmap for 2026
On January 23, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held the Review conference on digital transformation in 2025 and the implementation of the 2026 action plan. 2026 has been identified as a breakthrough year with a strong focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and data, aiming to build a smart university model and strengthen international integration. This strategic orientation demonstrates HaUI’s determination to move from process digitization toward data-driven governance.

Review Conference on Digital Transformation in 2025 and Implementation of the 2026 action plan
Reviewing the achievements of 2025, despite challenges in investment resources and the shortage of high-quality human capital, Hanoi University of Industry successfully accomplished its key tasks as planned. A notable highlight was the completion of an integrated payment connection with banking systems, enabling all student financial transactions to be conducted in a cashless manner. HaUI’s digital infrastructure also recorded significant progress, with the deployment of 5G at Campus 1 and the provision of free Wi-Fi coverage across all library and dormitory areas. In administrative operations, the adoption of digital signatures has substantially transformed working processes, reducing printing costs and shortening document processing time.
Furthermore, core management modules in training, assessment, and finance were upgraded in a synchronized manner. Notably, the initial application of artificial intelligence (AI) has demonstrated positive results, as the virtual admissions assistant successfully responded to more than 30,000 inquiries from prospective students.

In 2026, Hanoi University of Industry will focus on three key task groups: enhancing governance effectiveness, promoting the adoption of advanced technologies, and strengthening alignment with international standards. A pivotal mission is the development of a centralized data integration hub to ensure seamless connectivity among software systems, thereby comprehensively addressing data fragmentation across units. In parallel, the University will continue to invest in upgrading training infrastructure, including the deployment of Wi-Fi in five lecture buildings with high usage density and the operation of 10 to 15 smart classrooms to support lecture recording and blended learning.

To realize these goals, Hanoi University of Industry will streamline its digital transformation governance structure, clearly defining the responsibilities between units responsible for identifying professional requirements and those in charge of technical implementation. At the same time, HaUI aims to equip more than 80% of its staff and faculty with digital competencies, meeting international accreditation standards and ensuring the effective operation of the smart university model. With thorough preparation in both strategy and infrastructure, HaUI’s digital transformation efforts are expected to establish a solid foundation for the University to advance toward becoming an innovation-oriented institution and to rank among the top 400 universities in Asia by 2035.
