HaUI – TUKorea: Enhancing and Expanding Training Collaboration

On October 26, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) worked with Tech University of Korea (TUKorea) and the ATI Group to promote early work-integrated training collaboration for students in engineering, digital technology (ICT, electronics, software, etc.), and mechanical engineering fields.

Overview of the working session

During the working session, both parties discussed the directions for an international university training collaboration project with an early work-integrated approach. This project is sponsored by the South Korean government and contributes to the development of global talent in the industrial sector. After completing this program, students can enhance their job-related skills through practical work experience, the Korean language learning, Korean culture, and gain insights into communication etiquette in Korean enterprises. Importantly, students have the opportunities to work at companies in South Korea or South Korean enterprises in Vietnam.

Mr. Park Ghunsu, Rector of the Tech University of Korea, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the collaboration from the leadership of Hanoi University of Industry. He shared: "Ten years ago, TUKorea had the opportunity to collaborate with HaUI in the exchange of high-quality human resources. This served as the foundation for future cooperation between the two universities."

Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc highly appreciated the collaborative opportunities between the two parties. He noted that both universities offer a wide range of multi-disciplinary programs, with a focus on engineering and technology. Currently, HaUI has established deep and effective partnerships with numerous businesses. Regarding the collaborative training program between the two universities, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc suggested that a 2+2 program should involve a third party, such as businesses, to reaffirm commitment and contribute to enhancing students' job prospects during internships and after graduation.

To enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between both parties, HaUI and TUKorea will engage in discussions and reach a consensus on the directions for a long-term collaborative plan concerning training model, curriculum design, training processes, tuition fees, and living costs.
