Meeting with Laotian students in the 2016-2017 academic year

On the afternoon of 31st October 2016, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan, HaUI’s Vice Rector and representatives of offices, faculties and centers have a meeting with 29 Laotian students and their parents

At the meeting, representatives of the university expressed their sympathy for certain difficulties students may encounter when studying away from home. However, the adequate facilities along with the training experience as well as intimate relationships between the university and Laos will lay a fundamental foundation to reinforce the confidence of parents and students. Vice Rector, Dr. Bui Thi Ngan also hoped that the students would be able to settle down, get familiar with campus life at Hanoi University of Industry and strive to study and train themselves to achieve good results.

On behalf of the Faculty of International Cooperation and Training, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy Dean, announced the university’s rules and regulations with regards to studying activities, administration of student affairs, health insurance and updating timetable and a class attendance lists, etc.

In addition to the curriculum with technical subjects and Vietnamese studies, the Laotian students will have the opportunity learn Vietnamese cultures through meetings, interactive activities. These will enable them as to quickly get along with the community activities and catch up with the pace of life at the university.
