Robocon Vietnam 2016: 06 teams of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) attending the national finals

From 11th to 16th April 2016, the Robocon Vietnam 2016 qualifying round took place at Tay Ho District Sporting Event Hall with the participation of 60 teams.

HaUI had 06 teams participating in the contest. Robocon 2016 marked a fifteen-year journey of accompanying students from universities, colleges, vocational-technical schools across the country. With the theme "Clean Energy Recharging the World", Robocon 2016 aims to encourage the use of cleaner alternative energy sources. This idea originates from the fact that fossil energy which is among the cheapest energy source and easily available in nature is increasingly scarce and depleted.

In order to solve this problem, therefore, we have to explore and utilize alternative sustainable energy which should be clean and renewable in order to compensate for the running low energy from fossil. The game of ABU Robocon 2016 is designed so as to create the awareness of efficient energy consumption and clean, renewable energy utilization.

The northern region qualifying round of Robocon Vietnam 2016 took place with the participation of 60 teams from 13 universities and colleges in the North. HaUI had 6 teams from the faculties of Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical Engineering.

After 02 competitive and challenging elimination rounds, 24 teams in the North reached the national finals. 05 HaUI’s excellent teams participating the National Finals are ĐT01, ĐT02 (Faculty of Electronics Engineering); WAI01, WAI02 (Faculty of Electrical Engineering) and VV01 (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). Especially, in the northern qualifying round, ĐT01 performed exceptionally with the best result (Chai-Yo absolute winner in total 6 rounds with the shortest timing). The final round will take place from 9th to 14th May 2016 in Ninh Binh Sports Center.
