HaUI advances internationalization through educational outreach in the Philippines

As part of ongoing efforts to advance internationalization and expand global engagement, a delegation of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) conducted a working visit to Leon Guinto Memorial College and Guinayangan Senior High School in the Philippines from 7-9 June 2026. The visit aimed to introduce study opportunities at HaUI while exploring potential cooperation in education, research, and human resource development.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Tien Dat, Deputy Head of External Affairs Department, and Dr. Vu Viet Thang, Deputy Head of the Academic Affairs Department. During meetings with institutional leaders, both sides discussed opportunities for future collaboration and shared a common aspiration to create more international learning opportunities for students through academic programs, educational exchanges, and broader institutional partnerships.

One of the highlights of the visit was a series of information sessions attended by more than 500 students from the two institutions. The sessions offered participants an opportunity to learn about academic programs at Hanoi University of Industry, scholarship opportunities, campus life, and career prospects for graduates.

Students showed strong interest in the presentations and actively engaged with the delegation through questions and discussions. Topics ranging from academic pathways and international student experiences to future career opportunities attracted particular attention. Many participants expressed a keen interest in exploring study opportunities at HaUI and pursuing higher education in Vietnam.

In addition to the information sessions, the HaUI delegation conducted interviews with 21 shortlisted applicants from Leon Guinto Memorial College and Guinayangan Senior High School. The interviews, conducted in English, provided candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate their academic potential, communication skills, confidence, and readiness for an international learning environment. Many applicants expressed strong interest in pursuing higher education at Hanoi University of Industry.

The delegation also held consultation sessions with parents, providing detailed information on scholarships, academic programs, accommodation, and support services for international students. These discussions helped families gain a clearer understanding of the opportunities available at HaUI and supported informed decision-making regarding future study options.

The visit created new opportunities for cooperation between Hanoi University of Industry and educational institutions in the Philippines in areas such as academic programs, research, and academic exchange. It also represented another step in HaUI’s ongoing efforts to expand its international partnership network, attract international students, and foster a diverse and multicultural learning environment.
