The delegation of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry

On the afternoon of September 30, 2022, the delegation of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City led by Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Deputy Head of the Department of Planning and Finance, paid a working visit to Hanoi University of Industry to learn and exchange experiences on the operating model of The Labour Supplying and Training Company Limited (LETCO company). Giving a warm welcome and working with the delegation were Dr. Nguyen Van Thien - Vice Rector of HaUI, Dr. Nguyen Thi Mai Lan - Head of Finance and Accounting Department, representatives of Personnel and Administration Department and LETCO Company.

Overview of the working session

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien briefly introduced the history of 124 years of construction and development as well as important achievements that Hanoi University of Industry has achieved. The highlight of the school is the establishment of The Labour Supplying and Training Company Limited (LETCO - directly under the university) since 2000. Letco Company acts as a bridge to bring students of the school to study, intern and work in many countries around the world.

Every year, LETCO Company sends more than 2,000 trainees, students and workers to study and work in some labor markets such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc... Besides, the company also provides educational support services (training and fostering officials and workers under contracts with agencies, enterprises and individuals to send them to work and study abroad, creating short-term courses for labor export)

Up to now, the company has affirmed its scale, position and built a strong brand in the market: Supplying labor force & oversea education.

On behalf of the delegation, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung - Deputy Head of the Department of Planning and Finance, VNU-HCM expressed his impression of the achievements that Hanoi University of Industry has achieved in the past 124 years. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung said that VNU-HCM is developing a project to establish a company under the university, so he wants to exchange experiences on the operating model of LETCO company, Hanoi University of Industry.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the Traditional Room, HaUI - Foxconn Technical Training Center and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
