On the evening of June 10, the Final Round of the 7th HaUI Startup Challenge was held at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), bringing together six outstanding student teams to compete with innovative startup ideas. The competition concluded with LumiЯ – a robotic assistant for visually impaired people, developed by the Soft Robotics team from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, winning the First Prize.

On April 19, 2026, surpassing hundreds of projects nationwide, a student team from Hanoi University of Industry advanced to the final round of the 8th National Startup Day for Students (SV.STARTUP 2026). Their project, HAutoML, was awarded a Consolation Prize at the national level, recognizing sustained research efforts and reflecting the University’s strategic orientation toward science, technology, and innovation driven development.

With the objective of nurturing an entrepreneurial mindset and facilitating the dissemination of practical knowledge within higher education, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) convened the international workshop entitled “Innovation & entrepreneurship in Universities: Strategies and Implementation Experiences” on the morning of August 18. The event provided an academic forum for scholars, experts, and practitioners to exchange theoretical perspectives, share empirical insights, and discuss effective strategies for advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in university settings.

The inaugural season of SE HaUI Hackathon 2025, themed "Innovative Startups in Culture", concluded with a vibrant and emotionally charged grand finale, marking an inspiring start to a journey of innovation and breakthroughs in the entrepreneurial spirit of Vietnamese students.
