On June 29, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phạm Văn Đông, Vice President of HaUI, chaired a working session with a delegation from the Graduate Education Association of the CALABARZON Region, Philippines (PAGE Region IV-A). The meeting aimed to explore potential cooperation in postgraduate education, scientific research, academic exchange, faculty–student mobility, and overall quality enhancement in higher education.

How can the new orientations set out in the documents of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam be effectively integrated into university teaching, research, and students’ intellectual development? This question was at the heart of the 2026 National Scientific Conference on Theoretical and Practical Issues, hosted by Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) on June 27, bringing together scholars from 68 universities, academies, and research institutes across the country.

A total of 621 student research projects were successfully completed, involving 2,356 students, with 613 awards presented to 2,329 participants at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). Artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming biomedical research, creating new opportunities for collaboration across disciplines. Embracing this trend, five students from the English-taught Information Technology program at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) ventured beyond the traditional boundaries of computer science to investigate a biomedical challenge. Their study on deep learning for microbe–drug association prediction has been accepted for publication in Intelligence-Based Medicine, a Scopus Q2 journal.

On the evening of June 10, the Final Round of the 7th HaUI Startup Challenge was held at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), bringing together six outstanding student teams to compete with innovative startup ideas. Through annual recruitment of 100–200 HaUI students, joint training initiatives, and the successful operation of the Foxconn-sponsored Technical Training Center at HaUI since 2008, the partnership has made a significant contribution to developing highly skilled engineering talent for Vietnam's manufacturing sector.

On 26 May, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), welcomed a delegation from Nanning University (China) for discussions aimed at expanding strategic cooperation. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), establishing a framework for long-term collaboration in academic programmes, scientific research, and innovation.
