Garment and Textile Technology supplies high-quality human resources to meet the 4.0 playing field

Timely grasping the trend of the domestic and international labor market, especially in the face of the great demand for high-quality human resources in the era of industrial revolution 4.0, Hanoi University of Industry continues to train Bachelors of Garment and Textile Technology (GTT). The Garment and Textile Technology sector is one of the key sectors of the consumer goods manufacturing industry in the field of yarn, fabric and garment accessories; and it is also in great demand for human resources in Vietnam as well as in the international market. The students have the ability to solve problems in the production and operation of textile enterprises in order to improve productivity, reduce costs and ensure product quality.

The Division of Garment and Textile Technology has training programs in the direction of application. Students are equipped with in-depth knowledge (theoretical and practical) and many skills to be able to immediately meet the requirements of jobs at textile and garment enterprises. Therefore, students will have plenty of job opportunities after graduation.

The training course is equipped with knowledge about textile materials (origin, properties, identification, application), assessment of fabric properties according to national and international standards; yarn production (spinning technology and methods); fabric production (woven, knitting, non-woven technology); shaping and coloring fabrics, yarns (dyeing, floral printing technology) and finishing for textile and garment products with required functions such as flame retardant, waterproofing, softening, UV protection, antibacterial, antistatic, anti-wrinkle…; handle ecological and environmental issues.

Besides studying at school, students have the opportunity to experience domestic enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises to consolidate and apply the knowledge they have learned, train skills to help students gain confidence and get a job right after graduation.

During their studies at the university, students have many opportunities to find jobs. HaUI regularly organizes seminars with textile and fashion enterprises. Many students have found jobs at prestigious companies. Working positions are various at garment factories, research institutes, domestic and international schools of textiles as a technician, manager, production executive, director, etc.

Career opportunities are extremely diverse for students after graduation. Graduates can work in domestic companies such as: Garment 10 Corporation, Hanoi Textile and Garment Corporation, Nam Dinh Textile Garment Joint Stock Corporation, Nam Dinh Silk Textile Joint Stock Corporation, GATEXCO 20, JSC, GATEXCO 28, JSC, Dong Xuan Knitting Company, EMTEXCO CO., LTD etc. They can also work for foreign enterprises such as Maxport Limited Company, Esquel Vietnam, Tinh Loi Garment Company, Smart Shirt Vietnam, Regina Miracle, Bao Minh Textile Joint Stock Company, Texhong Group, Toray Industries INC etc.

With the current demand, 100% of graduates of Garment and Textile Technology have jobs in the right fields of training, with a salary of 8 - 20 million VND/month.

This is the third year that HaUI enrolls students in the Garment and Textile Technology major. Therefore, students applying to the major will have a very high chance of being admitted because the information about the new division is not known to many people to register.

The Division of Garment and Textile Technology will develop according to a new trend in the current conditions of integration and fierce competition from the 4.0 industrial revolution. The regular updating of modern equipment and advanced technology at textile and garment enterprises is always paid special attention by the lecturers to add to lectures.
