On 27 March 2012, Mr. Koki Hayasaka, President of Etsuki Co., Ltd. visited HaUI.Etsuki is a leading manufacturer of conventional machine tools in Japan.

On 5-9 March and 19-23 March 2012, two short-term courses on basic electric system maintenances of conventional machines were organized.The course consisted of 7 modules:

On 19 March 2012, Mr. Yuji Yokoyama, arrived at Hanoi as the short-term expert on machining center skill test.Mr. Yokoyama is an instructor in Hamamatsu Polytechnic College Japan and a member of skill test committee in Japan.During his term by 6 April, he will help the project sub working group members to refine the practical skill test and develop the assessment criteria and implementation guideline.The pilot skill test is planned in July or August, 2012.

On 4^th January 2012, eleven members of Fukushima Teacher Mission visited HaUI. They were warmly welcomed by HaUI board members (Mr. Ha Xuan Quang and Mr. Tran Duc Quy) and others. After studying overview of HaUI and the JICA-HaUI Project, the mission members visited the workshops of the Vietnam Japan Center (VJC), interacting with VJC’s lecturers and students. In the Q&A session, they were interested in issues such as whether Vietnamese schools provided traditional vocational training courses; Vietnamese’s perfection on producing products in comparison with Japanese. Teachers from Fukushima were impressed by clean working environment in VJC as well as students’ optimism in studying and working.

Ngày 21/12/2011, Trường Đại học Công nghiệp Hà Nội đã tổ chức đánh giá, nghiệm thu cấp cơ sở đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học cấp Bộ năm 2011: "Nghiên cứu thiết kế chế tạo hệ thống đo lực cắt trên máy mài tròn ngoài", chủ nhiệm đề tài TS. Trần Đức Quý.

On 28 December 2011, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) organized a technology information transfer workshop on milling machine accuracy adjustment.

From 9 to 22, December 2011, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) sent 3 lecturers to Japan for the training course of Machine Failure Diagnosis.

On 21 December 2011, the Faculty of Automobile Technology cooperated with Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize the Special lecture by HaUI graduate who are now working in Honda.
