Comprehensive collaboration between HaUI and DTU: Toward an integrated ecosystem of education, research, and innovation
On the morning of June 13, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) formally welcomed a delegation from Duy Tan University (DTU) for an official working session. During the meeting, the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking the beginning of a strategic partnership aimed at establishing an interdisciplinary ecosystem for education and applied research, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources in the digital era.

In the welcoming remarks, Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, emphasized the significance of strengthening linkages between higher education institutions, especially in the context of digital transformation and international integration. He also affirmed HaUI’s development strategy to become a multi-disciplinary university of applied sciences, operating under the model of a smart university with sustainable development, closely aligned with enterprises to provide globally competitive human resources.

In response, Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, President of Duy Tan University, expressed his sincere appreciation for HaUI’s warm reception. He shared DTU’s strategic vision to develop into a multidisciplinary educational group, taking the lead in innovation through interdisciplinary integration, with numerous achievements in research, technology, and international cooperation.

As part of the working session, DTU representatives showcased several outstanding scientific and technological products that demonstrate the university’s strong capabilities in applied research. Notable products included: SIMCAR, an intelligent automotive engineering training simulator, designed to replicate engine structures and real-life traffic scenarios in a virtual reality environment; RealJob, a digital platform that connects students with enterprises, facilitates internships and job placements, and manages alumni relations; Personalized 3D printing technology, AI-powered virtual assistants, Decision Tree software based on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model, as well as a system of scientific journals managed and published by DTU.
HaUI leaders expressed particular interest in the SIMCAR model and PBL-oriented software, praising their practical integration of technology into teaching and their potential to enhance innovative training methods.

Following in-depth discussions, the two institutions reached a consensus on various promising areas of cooperation, including: Technology transfer and commercialization of applied research products; Joint development of online training systems via eLearning platforms; Exchange of experience in organizing scientific research activities, establishing strong research groups, and developing expert networks; Implementation of joint training programs and faculty–student exchange initiatives; Cooperation in international publication and development of academic journals; Collaboration on interdisciplinary research projects.
At the conclusion of the session, the DTU delegation visited HaUI’s Traditional Room, which displays historical milestones and preserves the core values accumulated throughout the university’s 127-year development journey.
The MoU signing ceremony between Hanoi University of Industry and Duy Tan University represents a significant milestone, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to promote comprehensive cooperation in education, research, and innovation. This partnership is expected to contribute meaningfully to the sustainable advancement of higher education and scientific development in Vietnam during the era of digital transformation and global integration.
