HaUI equips staff with knowledge and skills for professional legal affairs

In response to the growing demands of governance innovation and legal compliance in higher education, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has demonstrated its proactive approach by organizing a professional training workshop entitled "Professional Skills in Legal Affairs" on May 24, 2025. This event aimed to enhance the legal knowledge and operational capacity of the university’s faculty and staff, thereby contributing to the development of a strong legal culture within the institution.

Overview of the workshop

The workshop featured a keynote presentation by Mr. Ngo Duc Minh, Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Trade. His lecture focused on the fundamental and practical aspects of legal affairs in the public higher education context. Key contents included:

- The socialist rule-of-law State and the imperative for reforming legal affairs in Vietnam.

- Current legal provisions on legal affairs in public universities.

- The necessity and role of legal work in higher education institutions.

- Assessment of needs and recommendations for structuring and operating legal affairs at HaUI.

Mr. Minh emphasized several focal points: strengthening the legal affairs apparatus, focusing on internal regulation review and development, monitoring legal compliance, and enhancing legal advisory functions related to university governance and administration. A particularly important recommendation was the modernization of legal communication, making legal awareness accessible and meaningful, and transformative.

Beyond the delivery of technical knowledge, the workshop created a space for open dialogue and exchange of experiences among HaUI’s staff. It helped to foster a deeper understanding of the value of legal work in ensuring institutional integrity, promoting transparency, and supporting sustainable development.
