DCN - SMAE1 crowns champion of HaUI Robocon 2025

With an exceptional combination of tactical ingenuity, flexible robot design, and impressive scoring maneuvers, Team DCN - SMAE1 from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (HaUI) triumphed over nine strong contenders to clinch the championship title at the HaUI Robocon 2025 Competition.

Held on the morning of April 20, the HaUI Robocon 2025 brought together 10 competitive teams from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and the Vietnam-Japan Center. The event delivered an electrifying and suspenseful atmosphere that captivated participants and spectators alike.

As one of HaUI’s signature annual events, the Robot Innovation Competition has established itself as a prestigious platform that showcases students' intellect, creativity, and passion for technology and serves as a practical training ground. Here, future engineers sharpen their research, design, and teamwork skills, key competencies for the modern era.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice-Rector of HaUI, emphasized: “In HaUI’s development strategy, promoting science and technology, innovation, and real-world applications is always a top priority. Competitions like Robocon are vital playgrounds for connecting knowledge, skills, and passion, allowing students to assert themselves. More than that, this is a meaningful journey, one of the most memorable experiences in their university life that they’ll look back on with pride.”

The theme of Robocon 2025 was "Basketball", spotlighting teamwork, precision, and strategic execution. Based on the motto “United to conquer glory”, the competition challenged each team to deploy two robots working in unison, aiming to score points by shooting balls into the opponent’s basket while defending their own. Teams took turns possessing the ball, each with a 20-second time limit per possession.

After more than three hours and 20 thrilling round-robin matches, the judging panel announced the winners of Robocon HaUI 2025 as follows:
