HaUI and Cooler Master explore new pathways for High-Tech talent development

On August 5, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a working session with Cooler Master to discuss potential areas of cooperation in education, scientific research, and human resource development for high-tech industries.

Overview of the working session

Established in 1992 and headquartered in Taiwan, Cooler Master is a technology company specializing in thermal management solutions for AI data centers, electronic devices, and electric vehicles. The company currently serves and collaborates with major global technology corporations, including Google, NVIDIA, Tesla, Huawei, and BYD, and is expanding its manufacturing operations in Vietnam, with a large-scale facility in Bac Ninh Province.

At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice President of HaUI, highlighted the University's strengths in education and training in mechanical engineering and automotive engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, information technology, chemical engineering, and semiconductor-related fields. These areas closely correspond to Cooler Master's current and prospective workforce requirements.

In addition to academic training, HaUI has been strengthening industry engagement through internship programs, applied research, and technology transfer activities, thereby providing students with opportunities to enhance their professional competencies and gain practical experience.

Discussing potential directions for cooperation, HaUI's leadership proposed that the two sides explore the development of corporate scholarship programs, demand-driven training initiatives, and international cooperation models. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong emphasized that early and sustained industry engagement in the education process would enable students to gain exposure to advanced technologies and international professional environments, while allowing enterprises to proactively develop a qualified talent pool aligned with their long-term development needs.

Representatives of Cooler Master expressed their appreciation for HaUI's training orientation and noted that a number of the University's academic disciplines are closely aligned with the company's development needs. The company also shared its plans to expand investment and operations in Vietnam, together with its growing demand for engineers in precision engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, information technology, and semiconductor-related fields.

The two sides discussed a range of potential areas of cooperation, including corporate scholarships, student internships, demand-driven training, scientific research, and the sponsorship of laboratory equipment and facilities. Representatives from HaUI's relevant academic and professional units also proposed expanding cooperation in thermal management technologies, thermal management solutions for electric vehicles, automation, and smart manufacturing.

HaUI and Cooler Master agreed to continue discussions on the proposed areas of cooperation and work toward their further development and implementation. Through closer collaboration in education, research, and high-quality talent development, the two sides aim to contribute to building a skilled workforce that meets the evolving demands of high-tech industries.
