HaUI awards nearly 9.5 billion VND in scholarships to first-year students

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has awarded nearly 9.5 billion VND in scholarships to its freshmen of Cohort 20, as announced during the HaUI Scholarship Award Ceremony held on 12 November.

This year’s scholarship round marks a significant milestone, particularly as HaUI, for the first time, introduced an extensive scholarship scheme dedicated to students enrolled in its English-medium undergraduate programs, reaffirming the University’s strong commitment to international integration and high-quality education.

Vice-Rector Nguyen Van Thien presented the full-tuition scholarships for the entire course to outstanding students enrolled in the English-medium undergraduate programs

The new scholarship scheme includes 10 full scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees for the entire course, each valued at 185 million VND, for the top-ranked student of every major; 20 scholarships covering 75% of tuition fees, worth 138.75 million VND each, awarded to the next two highest-ranking students; and 30 scholarships covering 50% of tuition fees, valued at 92.5 million VND each, for students ranked fourth to sixth.

Alongside this pioneering effort, HaUI continued its traditional scholarship policy for its regular undergraduate programs, granting 7 full-tuition scholarships for the entire course to students who ranked first in their subject clusters or who earned national or international awards, 21 full-tuition scholarships for the first academic year to those who ranked second or achieved provincial or municipal awards, and 84 scholarships worth 5 million VND each to students with outstanding admission scores.

Representing the scholarship recipients of Cohort 20, Pham Hoang Ha Trang, a student from Accounting Class 1 of the English-medium program, shared her pride and gratitude, noting that the opportunity to study in an internationally oriented environment allows students to access global knowledge, develop independent thinking, and cultivate essential competencies for future professional success. She emphasized that the scholarship is a meaningful personal achievement and a powerful source of encouragement for both herself and her family.
