HaUI Book Fair 2025 - A vibrant Hub of Knowledge

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) hosted its Second Book Fair from 13 - 15 November, creating a vibrant cultural space that celebrated the value of reading and reaffirmed the University’s commitment to lifelong learning. Nearly 1,600 new book titles from reputable publishers and booksellers were displayed, offering students, faculty, and staff a rich source of knowledge and inspiration.

This year’s event brought together an impressive lineup of participating publishers and booksellers. Thai Ha Books Joint Stock Company contributed nearly 800 titles, covering a wide spectrum of fields including skill development, technology, literature, culture, and education. Nha Nam Culture and Communications JSC introduced more than 200 books, spanning a range of genres, including history, self-help, and both Vietnamese and international literary works. Meanwhile, BIZBooks Joint Stock Company enriched the fair with approximately 200 titles focused on psychology, personal development, and contemporary fiction.

Other publishers and distributors, including Tram Đoc (160 titles), Saigon Books (80 titles), Ymate Bookstore (46 titles), and Tri Thuc Tre Books (29 titles), added variety to the collection and brought readers a diverse spectrum of genres and perspectives. Collectively, these contributions transformed the Book Fair into a vibrant knowledge hub, attracting consistent participation throughout the event.

As part of the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the results of the Third “Writing about the Library” Contest, awarding 2 First Prizes, 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes. The competition continues to nurture creativity, reflective thinking, and a love for reading among students.

Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice-Rector of HaUI, spoke at the event

Delivering the opening remarks, Vice-Rector Nguyen Van Thien, who also serves as the Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that throughout HaUI’s 127-year history, the University has consistently prioritized educational quality through ongoing curriculum innovation and the development of modern learning facilities. He underscored that fostering an open knowledge environment - one that encourages self-learning, inquiry, and community engagement - is central to HaUI’s vision of cultivating a lifelong learning culture.

He expressed hopes that the Library and Information Center will further evolve into a dynamic hub of knowledge sharing and creative exploration for the entire HaUI community, contributing meaningfully to the holistic development of future generations.
