HaUI and Clay Vietnam host seminar on Japanese talent engineer program

In the era of globalization and Industry 4.0, the demand for highly skilled technical professionals capable of working in international environments has never been greater.

In response to this trend, on October 29, 2025, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in collaboration with Clay Vietnam Joint Stock Company, organized a seminar to introduce their cooperative program for recruiting exceptional graduates to work in Japan. The seminar also provided career orientation guidance, attracting students from cohorts 17, 18, and 19, as well as alumni from key engineering disciplines.

During the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Head of the Student Affairs Department at HaUI, highlighted the university’s enduring six-year partnership with Clay Vietnam. He noted that nearly 100 HaUI students have already been selected to pursue professional careers in Japan, where advanced technologies and a highly disciplined work environment offer both professional development and personal growth opportunities.

Mr. Yamada, Chief Executive Officer of Clay Vietnam, presented a token of appreciation to Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh on behalf of HaUI. Mr. Yamada emphasized that the program is designed to develop future leaders capable of managing teams and overseeing operations, including supervising Japanese colleagues. Unlike short-term employment opportunities, the program offers a structured and sustainable career pathway, equipping participants with exposure to state-of-the-art technologies, enhanced technical skills, language proficiency, and soft skills. Moreover, the program opens prospects for long-term residency, including eligibility for permanent residency after ten years and family sponsorship after one year of employment.

A key feature of the program is its comprehensive and professional training framework. Clay Vietnam provides a “mini-Japan” environment, offering intensive Japanese language instruction targeting N3 proficiency, alongside essential soft skills training conducted directly by the CEO. Mr. Tran Ngoc Hai, alumnus of HaUI Class 16, shared that despite holding an N3 certificate, the program provided indispensable opportunities to refine listening skills, develop real-world responsiveness, and cultivate professional conduct.

Japan continues to be a premier destination for Vietnamese technical professionals, particularly in HaUI’s core fields, including mechanical engineering, information technology, electronics, and construction. Entry-level engineers in Japan can expect a starting salary of approximately VND 40.5 million per month after tax, significantly higher than the current average in Vietnam, approximately VND 10.6 million per month.HaUI tổ chưc Hội thảo “Kỹ sư tài năng Nhật Bản - Cất cánh cùng Clay Việt Nam”
