32 teams compete at Robocon Vietnam finals

32 teams from universities, colleges and vocational schools nationwide are participating in the finals, which were chosen from the 227 teams in the qualifying round. Of the final round teams, there are 14 teams from the northern region, six teams from the central and Central Highlands regions, and 12 teams from the southern region.

Addressing the ceremony, VTV Deputy General Director and Head of the Robocon Vietnam 2012 Organising Board, Lam Kiet Tuong said that creative passion, as well as the desire to discover and to conquer new technologies among Vietnamese students, makes the competition very attractive.

On the same day as the competition’s opening ceremony, twelve interesting and tough competitions were held, with the competition running until May 13.

The winner of the contest will represent Vietnam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest, which will be held in Hong Kong in August with the theme of ‘Buns Festival – In Pursuit of Peace and Prosperity’.
