Da Nang to host regional Robocon 2013 competition
The Asia-Pacific Robot Contest 2013 (ABU Robocon 2013) will be held from August 14-18 in Vietnam’s coastal city of Da Nang.
The competition, the 12 th of its kind, will focus on a global issue which is themed “The Green Planet.”
Each team will control their two robots to plant trees in seven positions on a model of the Earth (8.5m in diameter) and sow seeds on the Moon (at the height of 1.5m) by a throw from a distance of 3m.
Vietnam once hosted the same event in 2007 and won the championships three times in 2002, 2004 and 2006.
