Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) officially announced the Prime Minister’s decision to restructure the institution into a multi-disciplinary university system on June 20, marking a pivotal milestone in its 128-year history. The transition redefines the institution's operational scale, administrative mission, and governance framework, while unlocking advanced avenues for future development.

The international training cooperation program between Vietnamese universities and Goertek Group (China) has achieved remarkable progress in a short period of time. From an initial cohort of 23 pioneering students in 2025, the program has significantly expanded, with 90 engineering students currently undertaking their studies in China this year. Among them are 47 students from Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), 38 students from Thai Nguyen University of Technology, and 5 students from Electric Power University.

With nearly 800 students enrolling in ACCA-integrated programmes each year and the largest number of lecturers in Vietnam supported in pursuing ACCA qualifications, Hanoi University of Industry is steadily affirming the quality and international orientation of academic programmes in accounting, auditing, and finance.

Building on this new institutional model, Hanoi University of Industry held a strategic working session with Son La College on May 8, 2026, to advance cooperation in education, scientific research, and digital transformation.

On May 9, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry organized the STEM - Robotics - AI Experience Day and Admissions Consultation Program at Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted, bringing a dynamic and inspiring academic environment to students and teachers in Phu Tho Province. The program reflected the University’s commitment to promoting innovation, digital competencies, and scientific curiosity among younger generations in the context of rapid technological transformation.

On April 22, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry held a working session with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a significant step toward expanding opportunities for students to access high skilled technical employment programs in South Korea.

On April 17 in Hai Phong, Vietnam Industry and Trade Union launched Workers’ Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health 2026, alongside a science and technology exhibition featuring innovative products from across the sector. The event aimed to promote innovation, enhance productivity, and reinforce the importance of safe and sustainable working environments.
