Creative concepts that once existed only as sketches and classroom projects came to life on the runway as fourth-year students from the School of Garment Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) presented their graduation collections at the 2026 Graduation Fashion Show. The event provided an opportunity for students to showcase the knowledge, technical expertise, and creative vision they had developed throughout four years of study while introducing their first professional collections to a wider audience.
In the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports reached nearly USD 34.8 billion, marking a 7.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. This strong performance has laid a solid foundation for the industry to pursue its ambitious export target of USD 48 billion in 2025.
Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has conferred degrees on 220 graduates from the Faculty of Garment-Textile Technology and Fashion Design, marking the successful completion of Cohort 16 (2021–2025). The ceremony was both a celebration of academic achievement and a reflection of the growing partnership between the university and leading businesses in the textile and apparel sector.
Born in Thai Nguyen province, Hoang Thi Hoa, a young woman of the San Diu ethnic minority, has written an inspiring story of resilience, passion, and achievement. Graduating with a GPA of 3.66/4.0, she not only earned the title of valedictorian in Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) but also distinguished herself as both the top entrant and the top graduate of her cohort - an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects four years of perseverance and growth.
On June 28–29, 2025, Global Junior Fashion Week (GJFW) took place at the Hanoi Museum, bringing together aspiring young designers, creative talents, and educational institutions from across Vietnam and beyond. Among the standout participants were students from the Faculty of Garment Textile Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), who made a notable impression with their innovative and sustainable fashion collections.
On the afternoon of May 16, 2025, the Faculty of Garment Textile Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) successfully held the final round of the “Sustainable Fashion Textile and Garment Design” competition. This event served as an academic platform where students could showcase their creativity and convey a strong sense of social responsibility in the face of current environmental challenges within the fashion industry.
The “Hồn Việt - The Soul of Vietnam” collection, designed by students from the Faculty of Garment Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), took center stage at Global Student Fashion Week 2025 (GSFW), celebrating the beauty of folk culture and reaffirming the vitality of traditional art in contemporary fashion.
The first edition of GSFW 2025, will be hosted in Hanoi in December, promises meticulously curated performances and high-class fashion presentations. Among the participating institutions, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) stands out as a promising contributor to this global fashion spectacle.
A group of talented students from the Faculty of Garment Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has made waves by turning old jeans into unique and colorful fashion handbags. This innovative project earned them the Second Prize at the XV Student Scientific Research Conference for the 2023-2024 academic year. Their initiative not only showcases creativity but also emphasizes the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development.
