Proud milestone for HaUI’s Garment–Textile and Fashion Design students
Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has conferred degrees on 220 graduates from the Faculty of Garment-Textile Technology and Fashion Design, marking the successful completion of Cohort 16 (2021–2025). The ceremony was both a celebration of academic achievement and a reflection of the growing partnership between the university and leading businesses in the textile and apparel sector.
Held at HaUI’s Hall B7, the ceremony honored Cohort 16, a generation of students who began their university journey in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic. Having endured nearly a year of online learning, the graduates were praised for their resilience and determination in overcoming unprecedented challenges.

The ceremony featured the participation of key industry partners, who emphasized Vietnam’s importance as a strategic market in the global textile industry. Enterprises acknowledged the success of HaUI alumni currently employed in roles such as fashion design, pattern development, and garment engineering, and expressed appreciation for their work ethic, ambition, and adaptability.

Yi Da Vietnam Co., Ltd., a member of Crystal International Group, highlighted its intention to continue investing in future talent by awarding ten scholarships to outstanding graduates. This gesture not only honored academic excellence but also demonstrated a commitment to attracting and supporting highly qualified human resources. The message from businesses was clear: the demand for skilled professionals in Vietnam’s textile and fashion sector is increasing, and graduates from HaUI are seen as a valuable source of talent.

In his congratulatory remarks, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of HaUI stressed the alignment of the university’s training mission with the national strategy for the textile, garment and footwear industry to 2030, with a vision to 2035, as approved by the Prime Minister. He affirmed that HaUI is dedicated to producing a workforce capable of advancing Vietnam’s ambition to maintain its status as one of the world’s leading textile producers and exporters, while enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products in the global market.

The Vice Rector emphasized: The Faculty of Garment - Textile Technology and Fashion Design has designed its training programs to meet the urgent demands of industry while reflecting the strategic priorities of the nation. Equipped with knowledge in design, product development, technology, and supply chain management, graduates are prepared not only to become key professionals in large corporations but also to take confident steps toward building their own entrepreneurial ventures.
