Hanoi University of Industry announces the admission for international students of Undergraduate Programs 2025

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), a public university with a 127-year history of development, has consistently been recognized as the leading institution for training economic and technical personnel in Vietnam. The university is certified as a higher education institution that meets national accreditation standards, with 05 training programs accredited by ABET in the United States. Over 40% of HaUI lecturers hold doctoral degrees and have been appointed as professors and associate professors. The modern campus spans nearly 50 hectares, featuring lecture halls, practice rooms, laboratories, dormitory buildings, and student service areas, providing training courses for over 32,000 students across all levels.

In 2025, HaUI will enroll 50 international students for undergraduate programs and offer scholarships for non-agreement international students.

1. Eligibility and Admission Methods

1.1. Eligibility for undergraduate programs in Vietnamese

International students who have graduated from high school or hold equivalent degrees recognized by foreign educational institutions must have Vietnamese language proficiency at level 4 or higher, in accordance with current regulation from the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam. International students who do not meet the Vietnamese language proficiency requirement for admission to the official program must enroll in a Vietnamese language preparatory course. After completing this course, they must take a Vietnamese language proficiency test. If they pass, they can proceed to the official undergraduate program. If they do not pass, they must continue studying and retake the test until they achieve the required proficiency before entering the official program.

1.2. Eligibility for undergraduate programs in English

International students who have graduated from high school or hold equivalent degree recognized by foreign educational institutions must have English language proficiency at level 4 or higher, in accordance with 6-level foreign language proficiency framework for Vietnam.

1.3. Admission methods

Admission is based on academic performance at the high school level or its equivalent.

- Standard training duration: 4 years

4. Application documents

Each international student must submit one application document in Vietnamese or English, notarized or certified by the appropriate authorities, which includes:

a) Application form (download here).

b) Notarized copies and translations of degrees and academic transcripts in Vietnamese or English (high school diploma or equivalent, along with academic transcripts).

c) A health certificate issued by a licensed medical institution in the host country or a national/provincial/municipal licensed medical institution in Vietnam, valid for no more than 6 months from the date of issuance.

d) A copy of valid proof of Vietnamese or English language proficiency as required.

e) A copy of a valid passport with at least one year remaining until expiration at the time of application.

f) A certificate of non-violation of law issued by authorized agencies.

5.1. Time

- From June 1, 2025, to July 31, 2025.

- International students whose applications are accepted are expected to enroll by September 8, 2025.

6. Degree

International students who complete the four-year undergraduate program will be awarded a bachelor's degree.

7. Tuition

Tuition: 30,000,000 VND per academic year per international student.

8. Scholarship

- Scholarship Information: HaUI plans to award 50 scholarships covering 100% of tuition fees for the entire 4-year undergraduate program to international students self-funding their education (non-agreement students). Additionally, a 50% tuition waiver for the Vietnamese language preparatory course will be granted after international students achieve the required Vietnamese proficiency before entering the official program.

- Scholarship criteria: Scholarships for international students will be awarded based on admission results, scholarship quotas, chosen fields of study, the nationality of the international students and the converted high school grades or their equivalents as assessed by the university.
