Cultural learning experience for HaUI students in Liuzhou, China

Students of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) participating in the 2+2 joint training programme and the one-year student exchange programme at Guangxi University of Science and Technology (China) have not only been studying in an international academic environment but also taking part in a range of cultural and experiential activities in the host country.

Recently, HaUI students joined a field trip to the former residence of President Ho Chi Minh in Liuzhou. The programme was organised by the Foreign Affairs Office of Liuzhou City for Vietnamese students studying in the locality, aiming to enhance their understanding of historical sites associated with President Ho Chi Minh and to promote awareness of the long-standing friendship between Viet Nam and China.

During the visit, students explored the historical site located at the Nanyang Hotel, where President Ho Chi Minh once stayed during his revolutionary activities in Liuzhou. The preserved artefacts, photographs, and archival materials provided valuable historical context, offering deeper insights into his journey in pursuit of national independence as well as the historical ties between the two nations.

In addition to the guided tour, students engaged in discussions and shared perspectives on President Ho Chi Minh’s legacy and Vietnamese history. Direct interaction with historical materials at the site helped make the learning experience more vivid and meaningful.

For participating students, the activity represented an important component of their overseas study experience. It not only enriched their understanding of local history and culture but also encouraged reflection on the shared historical values that have shaped bilateral relations over time.

Through such experiential learning activities and cultural exchange opportunities, HaUI students continue to expand their academic knowledge, strengthen intercultural competence, and develop adaptability in an international environment. These experiences reflect HaUI’s commitment to integrating academic training with global exposure and holistic student development.
