HaUI students shine on International stages in early 2026

In the very first weeks of 2026, students of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) have already made an impressive mark on international arenas, from high-level robotics competitions to prestigious startup platforms. Their achievements at the VEX-U Robotics Competition and UniVentures 2025 stand as proud milestones, reflecting a new generation of HaUI students who are dynamic, confident, and capable of mastering advanced technologies.

Continuing its strong momentum, the Robotics Team from HaUI’s School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering brought honor to Vietnam at the VEX-U Robotics Competition 2026 held in the Philippines. As the only representative from Vietnam, Team HaUI1 competed against leading universities in the region and secured two prestigious awards: Third Place in the Robot Skills Challenge, recognizing excellence in robot control and autonomous programming, and the Think Award, presented to the team demonstrating outstanding strategy and innovative engineering thinking. These achievements were made possible by the students’ strong technical foundation and hands-on expertise. The team independently designed their robots, applied 3D printing technologies, and performed precision mechanical fabrication to create agile and intelligent robotic systems capable of performing at the highest competitive level.

Beyond engineering, HaUI students also demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and global competitiveness at UniVentures 2025, a prominent startup competition organized by BLOCK71 Vietnam, an initiative of the National University of Singapore. Competing among more than 1,400 applications from universities nationwide, three HaUI teams-Aquaband, LockerWash, and BanaWrap-successfully advanced into the Top 30. At the Demo Day round, the teams confidently pitched their projects entirely in English to international investment funds, including Golden Gate Ventures. Notably, Team Aquaband received the “Most Popular Team” Award, affirming the project’s feasibility, strong community appeal, and investment potential.

These consecutive achievements across diverse fields-from deep technical innovation to entrepreneurship- paint a clear portrait of the modern HaUI student: academically solid, technologically competent, globally minded, and competitively equipped. The success reflects the University’s strategic orientation of aligning education with real-world practice, fostering an open startup ecosystem, and actively creating opportunities for students to participate in international platforms. Through such accomplishments, HaUI students are not only showcasing their individual talents but also contributing to the growing reputation of Vietnamese intellect and innovation on the global stage.
