HaUI students ready to conquer the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad

On the morning of April 12, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a send-off ceremony for its student team set to participate in the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad, while also honoring those who achieved outstanding results in the university-level competition.

First held in 2009, the Mechanics Olympiad has become a popular and prestigious intellectual playground for students nationwide. The 2025 HaUI-level competition attracted participants across six categories: Engineering Mechanics, Machine Elements, Mechanism and Machine Theory, Strength of Materials, Hydraulics, and Computer Applications in Machine Elements. Following the contest, nearly 40 outstanding students were selected to represent the university at the national level.

During the event, the university honored students with outstanding achievements in the university-level competition, presenting 6 First Prizes, 11 Second Prizes, and 19 Third Prizes. Notably, Trần Anh Quân, a student from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, achieved an impressive score of 36 out of 40 - one of the highest in the competition. Filled with confidence and determination, Quân expressed his enthusiasm: "Thanks to the dedicated support and encouragement from our lecturers, we are truly excited and well-prepared to take on the challenges of the national competition. We will do our best to achieve excellent results - for the university and ourselves."

The National Mechanics Olympiad is an annual competition organized by the Vietnam Mechanics Association with the aim of nurturing future generations of mechanical engineers in Vietnam. The 35th edition of the Olympiad will be held on April 13, 2025, simultaneously at Vietnam Maritime University, the University of Science and Technology - University of Danang, and Can Tho University. With strong passion and determination, the HaUI student team is fully prepared to demonstrate their capabilities and reinforce the university’s reputation for excellence in academic competitions.
