The Youth of Hanoi University of Industry: Aspiration to Contribute – The Essence of Youthful Living

With a rich history spanning 127 years, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has nurtured countless generations of talented engineers and experts, contributing significantly to the nation's construction and defense. Guided by its philosophy of “Comprehensive education for sustainable development and integration,” HaUI has been shaping a generation of dynamic, innovative, and patriotic youth.

President Ho Chi Minh highly valued the critical position and role of youth as the successors to the Party’s mission and the bearers of the nation’s future and destiny. Embarking on his journey to seek national salvation at a young age, his years abroad provided him with a comprehensive perspective on the importance of youth.He emphasized, "Youth are the future masters of the nation. Indeed, whether the country prospers or declines, whether it is strong or weak, largely depends on its youth." He also affirmed that youth play a pivotal role in the nation's construction and development, serving as the cornerstone for building a new society.

In this transformative era of national progress, the role of youth has never been more pivotal. The students of Hanoi University of Industry, fueled by passion and a deep sense of responsibility, not only strive for academic excellence and personal growth but also dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to advancing Vietnam’s prosperity.

HaUI's youth movements are vibrant and impactful, encompassing scientific research, creative competitions, volunteering, and sports. These activities serve as platforms for students to grow, learn, and assert themselves. Every HaUI student embodies the spirit of “thinking big, acting decisively, and taking responsibility,” ready to overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.

At the dawn of 2025, HaUI's spirit of volunteerism shone brightly through the “Warm Winter in the Highlands” program in Moc Chau District, Son La Province. Organized by HaUI's Youth Union and Student Association, this initiative was not just an annual charitable effort but also a meaningful journey reflecting social responsibility and compassion.

The program included the construction of a “Path to Education” facility, a “Border Lighting” project, donations of children's libraries, renovation of school and dormitory equipment, and gifts for underprivileged children, disadvantaged families, and border soldiers. These meaningful activities not only improved living and learning conditions for children in highland areas but also fostered personal growth, community awareness, and patriotism among HaUI students.

With their aspirations to contribute and their dedication to the essence of youthfulness, HaUI’s students are affirming their vital role in the nation’s development and defense. They are the architects of a resilient and prosperous Vietnam, steadfast in their mission to shape a future imbued with strength and innovation
