English-Taught programs at HaUI: Building global competence with scholarships of up to 100%

Pursuing an undergraduate degree through an English-taught program enables students to develop academic and professional competencies while strengthening their capacity to operate in an international educational and professional environment. As part of its 2026 admissions policy, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) is implementing a dedicated scholarship scheme for students enrolling in English-taught undergraduate programs, with scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees for the entire duration of study.

For the 2026 admissions cycle, HaUI offers 15 full-time undergraduate programs delivered entirely in English, spanning a diverse range of disciplines in technology, engineering, business, economics, and tourism. The portfolio includes Business Administration, Marketing, Banking and Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Technology, Tourism, Tourism and Travel Services Management, Hotel Management, and Restaurant and Food Service Management.

According to Dr. Than Thanh Son, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs at HaUI, the development of English-taught programs is aligned with the University's objective of developing graduates capable of studying, conducting research, and working in international environments. The objective extends beyond the development of English language proficiency to encompass disciplinary expertise, professional competencies, and the capacity to adapt to evolving requirements in the labor market.

The programs are therefore structured in accordance with international orientations, integrating disciplinary knowledge, professional skills, and English-medium instruction. Students undertake specialized courses in English and have opportunities to develop communication, presentation, teamwork, and problem-solving competencies through academic and practical activities. HaUI's cooperation with domestic enterprises, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), and international partners further contributes to the practical orientation of the programs. Through internships, field-based activities, and other forms of industry engagement, students are provided with opportunities to gain practical experience and become familiar with professional working environments during their studies.

To support students enrolling in English-taught undergraduate programs, HaUI has established a dedicated admission scholarship scheme for the 2026 admissions cycle. The scholarships are structured as follows:

• Tier 1: A scholarship equivalent to 100% of tuition fees for the entire program, valued at approximately VND 185 million per scholarship; 10 scholarships are expected to be awarded.
• Tier 2: A scholarship equivalent to 75% of tuition fees for the entire program, valued at approximately VND 138.5 million per scholarship; 20 scholarships are expected to be awarded.
• Tier 3: A scholarship equivalent to 50% of tuition fees for the entire program, valued at approximately VND 92.5 million per scholarship; 30 scholarships are expected to be awarded.

In addition to admission scholarships, students may be considered for academic encouragement scholarships and scholarships funded by enterprises throughout their studies, subject to the applicable academic performance and conduct criteria.

In the context of increasing internationalization in higher education and the labor market, graduates are expected not only to possess sound disciplinary knowledge and English language proficiency but also to demonstrate the ability to communicate, collaborate, and perform effectively in diverse professional environments.

HaUI's English-taught undergraduate programs are developed in response to these requirements, integrating English-medium academic instruction, disciplinary expertise, professional skills, and practical experience. Through this approach, the programs seek to strengthen students' academic and professional capabilities and provide a foundation for their continued development and participation in an increasingly internationalized labor market.
