HaUI and Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical and Vocational College strengthen cooperation in education and human resource development

Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) and Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical and Vocational College have reaffirmed their shared commitment to expanding cooperation in education, scientific research, and human resource development, opening new opportunities to strengthen educational ties while contributing to the longstanding friendship between Viet Nam and Laos.

The working session was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice President of Hanoi University of Industry, together with representatives from the Department of External Affairs, the Department of Academic Affairs, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, the School of Information and Communications Technology, and the School of Economics. The delegation from Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical and Vocational College was led by Mr. Khamdy Boutthakhanh, Rector of the College.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong reaffirmed HaUI's commitment to expanding partnerships with Lao educational institutions based on the principles of mutual support and sustainable development. He emphasized the University's readiness to share its expertise in curriculum development, faculty development, scientific research, and academic management, while working closely with the College to cultivate a highly skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of socio-economic development in both countries.

Mr. Khamdy Boutthakhanh, Rector of Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical and Vocational College, expresses his aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Hanoi University of Industry in curriculum development, faculty training, and the expansion of new academic disciplines.

Mr. Khamdy Boutthakhanh expressed his appreciation for HaUI's warm hospitality and the University's willingness to share its expertise. He reaffirmed the College's commitment to strengthening cooperation with HaUI, particularly in curriculum development, faculty development, and the enhancement of teaching and learning resources. He also expressed the College's interest in collaborating with HaUI to develop new academic programmes in garment technology, artificial intelligence, information technology, electrical and electronic engineering, automation, automotive technology, and business administration.

Leaders of the two institutions discuss strategic directions for cooperation in education, scientific research, and human resource development

At the meeting, the two institutions discussed a range of strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening long-term collaboration. HaUI proposed developing a comprehensive cooperation roadmap encompassing articulation programmes, postgraduate education, short-term professional training, and joint recruitment of Lao international students. The University also introduced support policies available to Lao students studying at HaUI and reaffirmed its commitment to assisting the College in enhancing academic programmes and implementing collaborative activities aligned with practical needs.
