SMAE students of HaUI showcase talent at the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad
Students from the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering (SMAE), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) delivered an impressive performance at the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad, securing one First Prize, one Second Team Prize, and 25 individual awards. These achievements highlight the academic excellence, determination, and competitive spirit of HaUI students on a national stage.
On May 11, 2025, the closing ceremony of the 35th National Mechanics Olympiad was held at Vietnam Maritime University. Demonstrating outstanding performance, SMAE students earned one Second Prize in the team category and 26 individual prizes, including a notable First Prize in the “Theory of Mechanisms and Machines” won by Le Van Do, a student of Class Mechanical Engineering 2 – Cohort 17.

The National Mechanics Olympiad is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in engineering, held annually to foster learning and scientific research among university students nationwide. This year’s competition brought together thousands of participants from universities and academies across the country. It was organized across three regions – North, Central, and South – and featured eight challenging disciplines: Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Structural Mechanics, Hydraulics, Soil Mechanics, Theory of Mechanisms and Machines, Machine Elements, and Applied Informatics in Machine Design.

At the Northern regional competition, the SMAE team demonstrated outstanding academic capability and a high level of commitment, surpassing expectations and bringing pride to the university.
