HaUI welcomes VNU School of Law delegation for a working session on digital transformation
Digital transformation constitutes a pivotal trajectory in the advancement of higher education, and Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has emerged as a distinguished example through the development of a comprehensive digital ecosystem that integrates data infrastructures and streamlines governance. On October 2, the visit and working session of the School of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-Law) at HaUI served as a meaningful platform for both institutions to exchange practical perspectives on process standardization, operational optimization, and strategic approaches to advancing digital transformation in higher education.
Since 2011, HaUI has pioneered the establishment and implementation of an electronic university system for comprehensive governance, covering 34 domains and over 600 management activities. The system has earned prestigious awards, including Nhan Tai Dat Viet (2012), the Sao Khue Award (2016), and the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award (VIFOTEC) (2018). It also fully meets the criteria set out in Decision No. 4740/QĐ-BGDĐT (December 30, 2022) for assessing digital transformation in higher education institutions.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice Rector of HaUI, underscored that digital transformation at the university has consistently been guided by policy consensus and sustained process innovation. He affirmed that these principles form a solid foundation for HaUI’s progression toward the smart university model, characterized by strengthened governance capacity and forward-looking development. With nearly five decades of development, the VNU School of Law has steadfastly maintained excellence in education, research, and community service as its defining values and driving force, thereby consolidating its reputation as Vietnam’s foremost institution for legal education and scholarship.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trong Diep, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council of VNU School of Law, underscored the pressing imperative of accelerating technology adoption and advancing digital transformation. He affirmed the delegation’s interest in drawing valuable insights from HaUI’s pioneering model and expressed confidence in the prospect of expanding cooperation between the two institutions in the future.

Dr. Le Truong Giang, Deputy Director of the Center for Information Technology, delivered a presentation entitled "The Digital University at Hanoi University of Industry: Model and Roadmap for Establishment."
In his address, he emphasized six guiding principles for development, introduced the comprehensive digital university framework, and elaborated on HaUI’s digital strategies, policies, applications, platforms, data systems, infrastructure, and human resources. His presentation outlined a well-defined model and roadmap for the university’s digital transformation.
