HaUI hosts Farewell Ceremony for JIS University delegation after two weeks of enriching exchange

The School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT) at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) recently held a closing ceremony to present certificates and bid farewell to the delegation of faculty and students from JIS University (JISU), India, after more than two weeks of academic exchange, cultural immersion, and meaningful collaboration.

In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of HaUI, extended his heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the JIS delegation. He expressed appreciation for their choice to visit HaUI as part of their international student exchange program. “This has been a valuable opportunity for both institutions to strengthen our partnership, promote cross-cultural understanding, and offer students a platform to grow academically and personally through global experiences,” he noted.

Representing JIS University, Mr. Dharmpal Singh expressed his gratitude to the hosts. “HaUI has provided us with a memorable and heartfelt journey, both academically and culturally. Every activity was thoughtfully designed, engaging, and practically relevant. We were deeply impressed by the professionalism and warm hospitality of the faculty and students at SICT, and of HaUI as a whole.”

During their stay in Vietnam, JIS students participated in a wide range of academic and extracurricular activities. Highlights included an intensive training course on Artificial Intelligence (AI), hands-on lab sessions in HaUI’s state-of-the-art facilities, and a joint scientific seminar titled “Emerging Technologies and Applications”, where students from both universities shared insights, research interests, and their enthusiasm for innovation. The delegation also took part in the ICPC–HaUI programming contest, joined campus cultural and art exchange activities, and visited local enterprises to gain real-world industry insights.

Shreeja Sinha, a computer science student from JIS, shared her reflections: “It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has passed. Just a short time ago, we were new to Hanoi, full of curiosity. Now, it’s time to say goodbye. These past two weeks have been truly unforgettable - from cutting-edge lab experiences and inspiring seminars to delicious Vietnamese meals, traditional music and dance, learning how to make conical hats, and exploring the vibrant culture of Hanoi. We’re incredibly thankful for HaUI’s warm and generous hospitality. This is not goodbye - it’s the beginning of lasting friendships and future collaboration.”

The student exchange program between JIS University and HaUI is a meaningful step in HaUI’s ongoing journey toward internationalization. It reflects the university’s commitment to building global partnerships where knowledge transcends borders, cultures connect people, and educational opportunities expand in every direction. This collaboration sets a strong foundation for a multidimensional academic future and deeper global integration.
