Vietnam–China Cultural Performance Exchange: A Celebration of Friendship and Heritage
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (1950–2025), the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi, organized the Vietnam–China Cultural Performance Exchange. The event served as a meaningful cultural highlight, contributing to people-to-people diplomacy and fostering stronger ties between the two nations.
The program welcomed the presence of representatives from the Embassy of China in Vietnam, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hebei Province (China), the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi, as well as numerous domestic and international media outlets.
Delivering the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Ba Phong, Vice Principal of the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, emphasized the importance of international collaboration in education, particularly through cultural exchange activities. He stated: “Cultural exchange plays a vital role in nurturing young generations with a global mindset and intercultural understanding. Today’s program is a vivid example of the long-standing friendship between our two nations, and it reflects the university’s commitment to building a globally connected learning environment where students can engage with diverse cultures around the world.”

Representing the co-organizing unit, Mr. Truong Duc Son, Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi, expressed his appreciation for the strong partnership with the university. He noted: “The year 2025 marks a historic milestone, 75 years of China–Vietnam diplomatic relations. In recent years, high-level leaders of both countries have strengthened cooperation across all sectors, including culture and tourism. The China Cultural Center in Hanoi will continue to serve as a bridge by organizing cultural and tourism programs and sending delegations to Vietnam, contributing to deeper, more meaningful cooperation between our two peoples.”

The event featured a vibrant array of performances, including traditional instrumental ensembles, classical dances, ethnic wind instrument solos, choral singing, martial arts, and folk art presentations. Performed by both professional artists and students from the two countries, each act offered a unique cultural element, contributing to a colorful and harmonious celebration of Eastern artistic traditions.
Beyond a mere artistic showcase, the Vietnam–China Cultural Performance Exchange functioned as a significant platform for fostering cultural diplomacy and youth engagement. It enabled students and young representatives from both countries to engage in meaningful cultural dialogue, enhance mutual understanding, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the rich and diverse cultural heritages of Vietnam and China. Through the universal language of music and performance, the program contributed to the promotion of intercultural respect, the strengthening of people-to-people ties, and the advancement of long-term bilateral friendship grounded in shared cultural values.
