On the morning of May 16, 2026, the School of Languages and Tourism under Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in collaboration with the Chinese Cultural Center in Hanoi, organized the Vietnam–China Cultural Exchange Festival and World Book Day 2026. The event transformed the university campus into a dynamic cultural space, bringing together thousands of students from universities and academies across Northern Vietnam. The festival highlighted the growing role and educational excellence of language-related disciplines in fostering international integration and cross-cultural understanding.

Students from the School of Languages and Tourism (SLT), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), have made a remarkable mark by winning the First Prize at the 8th “Chinese Talent” Competition 2026. Surpassing strong contenders from leading Chinese-language training institutions in Northern Vietnam, the HaUI team “Phong Khoi Thua Ai” rose to the top, affirming the university’s strength in Chinese language and cultural education.

the 3rd International Scientific Conference on Chinese Language and Chinese Studies, organized by School of Languages and Tourism, Hanoi University of Industry, successfully transformed traditional linguistic discourse into a forward-looking technological dialogue. Empowered by more than 230 contributions from experts worldwide, the gathering confronted the immediate realities of digital transformation and mapped out innovative, cross-disciplinary pathways for Chinese Studies.

On the morning of March 23, 2026, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held an official reception to welcome a delegation of faculty and students from the Guangxi Overseas Chinese School (China), marking the commencement of a six-month academic and cultural exchange program.

Demonstrating remarkable linguistic competence and confident public-speaking skills, two students from the Faculty of Chinese Language, School of Languages and Tourism (SLT), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) - Nguyet Anh and Quy Ly - secured the Third Prize. They proudly placed among the Top 9 outstanding finalists at the 2025 National Chinese Language Oratory Contest.

The 2025 “Chinese Language Talent” Contest marked the seventh season of this prestigious academic competition, which has become a much-anticipated annual event for students passionate about the Chinese language from universities and colleges across Northern Vietnam. More than just a contest, the event offers a vibrant platform for academic exchange, inspires a love for language learning, and contributes to improving training quality while equipping students with the skills needed for global integration.

Phạm Trà My, former President of the Student Association of the School of Foreign Languages and Tourism under Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), is currently a final-year student majoring in Chinese Linguistics under the 3+1 joint program between HaUI and Guangxi University of Science and Technology (China). Her academic journey and experiences in China have not only provided her with solid expertise but also invaluable insights into culture, people, and remarkable personal growth.

At the conference for the establishment of the Vietnam-China Vocational Education Community held from August 17 to 20 in China, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dong, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Industry, together with representatives from over 80 educational institutions and 20 Chinese enterprises, discussed and proposed numerous solutions to enhance the quality of training, research, and technology transfer to meet the demands of businesses both in China and Chinese companies in Vietnam.

On the afternoon of May 25, 2024, the final of the 6th "Chinese Talent" Contest captivated audiences with its theme, "Connecting knowledge, creating the future." This thrilling competition showcased the talents of teams from ten universities across northern Vietnam, with the students from the School of Languages and Tourism (SLT) at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) securing an impressive Second Prize.

On May 9th, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a working session with leaders of enterprises and several universities and colleges from China to discuss the establishment and development of a tripartite collaboration model: HaUI – Chinese Educational Institutions – Enterprises.
