HaUI students shine at the 2025 National Chinese Language Oratory Contest

Demonstrating remarkable linguistic competence and confident public-speaking skills, two students from the Faculty of Chinese Language, School of Languages and Tourism (SLT), Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) - Nguyet Anh and Quy Ly - secured the Third Prize. They proudly placed among the Top 9 outstanding finalists at the 2025 National Chinese Language Oratory Contest.

The competition - one of Vietnam’s most prestigious academic forums for Chinese-language learners - drew a large number of contestants from universities, academies, and institutions nationwide. Participants underwent multiple challenging rounds assessing thematic presentations, spontaneous responses, argumentation, and situational problem-solving, all conducted entirely in Chinese.

Emerging from these rigorous selection stages, Nguyet Anh and Quy Ly reaffirmed the strong academic foundation and training quality of HaUI’s Chinese Language program. At the final round, both students impressed the judging panel with accurate pronunciation, confident intonation, persuasive delivery, and strong stage presence, demonstrating their ability to articulate complex ideas with clarity and poise.

Their speeches, in particular, stood out for their meaningful reflections on human connection, friendship, and evolving collaboration between Viet Nam and China in the new era. Both students highlighted how young people can act as bridges - fostering cultural understanding, strengthening mutual respect, and opening new doors for cooperation between the two neighbors.

Following the competition, both students expressed their joy and pride. Nguyet Anh and Quy Ly shared that the contest was a valuable and transformative experience - one that enhanced their linguistic abilities, public-speaking confidence, critical thinking, and situational adaptability. Participating in a national academic platform also provided them with meaningful opportunities to connect with peers from across the country who share the same passion for the Chinese language.
