The Faculty of Garment-Textile Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in collaboration with Thagaco International Investment Joint Stock Company, organized a workshop on career opportunities for students in the era of smart manufacturing. The event provided valuable industry insights, enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the textile and garment sector as it continues to evolve through digital transformation and advanced manufacturing technologies.
In the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam’s textile and garment exports reached nearly USD 34.8 billion, marking a 7.7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2024. This strong performance has laid a solid foundation for the industry to pursue its ambitious export target of USD 48 billion in 2025.
Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) has conferred degrees on 220 graduates from the Faculty of Garment-Textile Technology and Fashion Design, marking the successful completion of Cohort 16 (2021–2025). The ceremony was both a celebration of academic achievement and a reflection of the growing partnership between the university and leading businesses in the textile and apparel sector.
Born in Thai Nguyen province, Hoang Thi Hoa, a young woman of the San Diu ethnic minority, has written an inspiring story of resilience, passion, and achievement. Graduating with a GPA of 3.66/4.0, she not only earned the title of valedictorian in Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) but also distinguished herself as both the top entrant and the top graduate of her cohort - an extraordinary accomplishment that reflects four years of perseverance and growth.
A student team from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), has made a remarkable mark at the Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation - MECA 2025, earning the “Outstanding Design” award with their AIoT-integrated smart factory model. The competition, held under the auspices of the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA), brought together 21 elite teams selected from hundreds of entries submitted by 14 top technical universities across Vietnam.
On the afternoon of June 13, the Faculty of Garment - Textile Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) held a fashion show featuring graduation projects by students of Cohort 16 in the fields of Textile, Garment, and Fashion Design.
On May 17, the final round and award ceremony of the 2nd "Smart City Integrated Circuit (IC) Design Competition 2024" took place in Ho Chi Minh City. The event was jointly organized by the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Department of Science and Technology, and other supporting organizations.
On the afternoon of May 16, 2025, the Faculty of Garment Textile Technology and Fashion Design at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) successfully held the final round of the “Sustainable Fashion Textile and Garment Design” competition. This event served as an academic platform where students could showcase their creativity and convey a strong sense of social responsibility in the face of current environmental challenges within the fashion industry.
On March 26, the final round of the 2025 Automation Machine Design Competition, organized by MISUMI Vietnam and Vietnam Machinery Manufacturing Technology Company, concluded at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The event featured intense presentations and sharp debates by the six most outstanding teams from across the country. Emerging as the champion was the FEE Team, representing the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Hanoi University of Industry.
