HaUI students spread traffic safety culture through engaging activities
In an effort to enhance awareness and promote a culture of safe and civil traffic practices, Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI), in collaboration with the Traffic Police Department of Ha Nam Provincial Police and HEAD Honda Tiến Lý, successfully organized the 2025 program “HaUI Students Explore the Road Traffic Law.” The event not only served as an intellectual competition but also created a meaningful platform for students to express their civic responsibility in fostering a safe and modern traffic environment.
Cultivating Traffic Awareness from the University Environment
The program is organized to raise awareness and enhance safe driving skills among students, especially first-year students. Through a variety of engaging activities, the organizers hope to encourage each student to become an active advocate, contributing to the collective effort of ensuring traffic safety in the community and society at large.
The central message of the program emphasized by the organizers is: 'In the modern pace of life, traffic is not only a flow of vehicles but also a reflection of the culture, awareness, and responsibility of each individual. For students, understanding and following traffic laws is a key step in their growth and in becoming responsible members of society.
Engaging Competitions that Promote Legal Knowledge and Responsibility
The program’s central activity was a multi-round competition that attracted five teams from different faculties and schools across HaUI. Each round encouraged students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and personal commitment to traffic safety.
Online Photo Contest
With the theme “Students Comply with Road Traffic Laws,” the photo contest generated a wave of positive engagement on social media platforms. It attracted broad attention from the student body and helped spread meaningful messages about lawful and safe traffic behavior. The most outstanding entries were honored for their originality and effectiveness in promoting traffic safety awareness.
Traffic Law Knowledge Challenge
In this round, students demonstrated their deep understanding of Vietnam’s Road Traffic Law by answering multiple-choice questions. This segment tested not only academic knowledge but also emphasized the importance of appropriate behavior when participating in traffic.
Dramatic Skit Performances
This was the most anticipated part of the competition. Teams portrayed everyday traffic situations through creative and emotionally engaging performances that conveyed important messages, such as “A second gained, a lifetime lost,” “Green, clean, and safe travel,” and “Traffic safety is happiness for every family.” These skits touched the audience emotionally and reinforced the critical role of adhering to traffic laws.
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of the University, and Colonel Phạm Minh Trường, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Hà Nam Province, presented the first prize to the team from School of Information and Communications Technology, HaUI
Dr. Trần Ngọc Khánh, Head of the Student Affairs Department, and Mr. Đỗ Thế Tòng, Deputy Director of Tiến Lý Trading Co., Ltd., presented the second-place award to the team from School of Economics, HaUI
Dr. Vũ Thị Hồng Vân, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science, presented the third prize to the team from School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, HaUI
Ms. Hoàng Thị Thanh Huyền, Deputy Head of Student Affairs Department, presented encouragement awards to the teams from School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and School of Foreign Languages and Tourism, HaUI
Mr. Đỗ Minh Hiền, Secretary of the HaUI Youth Union, presented prizes for the Online Photo Contest
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Thiện, Vice Rector of the University, Colonel Phạm Minh Trường, Deputy Head of the Traffic Police Department of Hà Nam Province, and Mr. Đỗ Thế Tòng, Deputy Director of Tiến Lý Trading Co., Ltd., presented awards to the students who achieved the highest scores in the knowledge test.
Strengthening the civic role of today’s students
Beyond the competition, the program also featured discussions and interactive sessions with experts from the Ha Nam Traffic Police Department and HEAD Honda Tiến Lý. These sessions provided students with valuable and practical knowledge on road safety and responsible driving behaviors.
Through practical activities and the meaningful contributions of the students, the program has highlighted the pioneering role and sense of responsibility of Hanoi University of Industry students in promoting and spreading a culture of safe and civilized traffic.
